AMELIA KRAFT

Having studied and practiced Architecture in Australia, Canada and the US, Amelia’s project experience includes a diverse range of typologies, scales, locations and climates. From large community facilities to private residences, Amelia has a passion for sustainable building practices, environmental sensitivity and regional vernacular design. This informs highly functional and contextual design solutions incorporating passive solar strategies, a contemporary aesthetic and local materials.

Amelia’s unique architectural perspective draws from a background in graphic design and is complemented by her extensive travels. Her proficiency with graphic and presentation software is a valuable tool in the design process and in communicating the firm’s designs to clients. As one of her greatest strengths lies in developing a rapport and open communication with clients, consultants and contractors, Amelia values a collaborative design process.

Amelia holds a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication from the University of Technology, Sydney and a Master of Architecture from the University of British Columbia. She joined the Berglund Architects team in 2013. Amelia has volunteered extensively with Habitat for Humanity of Eagle & Lake Counties gaining hands-on construction experience and providing housing for low-income families in our local community.
