ADAM GILMER, AIA

PRINCIPAL

Adam's passion for sustainable building practices and emerging technologies is utilized in projects that range from private residences to multi-family developments to large mixed-use buildings. Adam has extensive experience seamlessly creating and integrating traditional hand drawings with cutting-edge three-dimensional computer modeling techniques, a critical design tool in several complex residences and mixed-use projects in which he has worked. These 3D computer models have become a significant part of the design and planning approval processes and developers' presentation materials for sales documents. 

Adam's high-quality 3D computer images and computer walk-through animations are extremely valuable tools for communicating the firm's designs to clients. Adam's value of shared ideas and passion for sustainable design contributes significantly to the firm's progressive, open-minded design environment. His collaborative team approach has resulted in outstanding design innovation and client service on the wide range of projects he has worked on. 

Adam holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design, Emphasis in Architecture, from the University of Colorado and has been with Berglund Architects since 2005. 

Adam has been a licensed architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) since 2014. His commitment to professional excellence led to his accreditation by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) in 2020. Adam was honored as one of the Top 5 Under 40 Architects by Colorado Homes and Lifestyles Magazine in June 2022.

Growing up in Evergreen, Colorado, Adam loves playing in and being inspired by the mountain environment. He enjoys traveling, golfing, skiing, biking, and fishing with his active family.
