DESIGNER

Alex graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture Design in 2021 and joined Berglund Architects in January 2023. He grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania—a unique post-industrial city whose countless steel bridges, rich brick buildings, and dynamic topography heavily influenced his passion for architecture and design. He is drawn to the artistic nature of the design process and believes that the built environment can be a vehicle for problem-solving, creating beauty, and building community. 



Outside the studio, Alex is an avid musician and producer, a passionate skier, and a curious explorer, all of which are endless inspirations in his work. In life, he describes himself as something between the archetypes of cowboy and farmer–called to explore and pursue new frontiers while simultaneously drawn to the cultivation of lifelong passions and interests. He is grateful to be able to live and work in the Vail Valley and is excited to continue exploring all that Colorado has to offer.
